The Cadet Program is the junior corps of the Civil Air Patrol, with more offerings than a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. The CAP Cadet Corps participate in hands on Leadership training, Aerospace Education which includes five powered airplane and five glider flights sorties, and training in Emergency Services where cadets participate in actual real-life Air Force missions saving people and property. Finally, the CAP Cadet Corps proudly provides roughly 8 percent of every new class entering the USAF Academy.
