			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cadet Training Weekend Information</p>
<p>What:</p>
<p>Cadet Training Weekend (CTW) is a weekend-long training program that gives new and old cadets a taste of what the week long Encampment (Early June) program entails.  During CTW the staff (experienced Seniors and Cadets) strive to accomplish multiple items:  standardize the wing cadet program, bring a sense of unity, teamwork, and accomplishment to as many cadets as possible, and assist cadets with their next achievement (promotion).  There are many different focuses for CTW, the one conducted in the Fall of 2009 will focus on: basic leadership skills, mastering of drill and ceremonies, basic understanding of the intensity of Encampment, and development or review of the Curry achievement fundamentals.  CTW and Encampment are intense training opportunities for cadets, all activities are scrutinized prior to operation and are constantly reviewed to ensure they as safe and meet the training objectives.</p>
<p>Who:</p>
<p>Staff &#8211; to be eligible for staff, cadets must have attended and received credit for a previous Encampment and have achieved the grade of Cadet Master Sergeant.  At the discresion of the Activity Commander, Activity Cadet Commander and the Director of Cadet Programs a cadet with a grade of Cadet Staff Sergeant or Cadet Technical Sergeant may be considered.</p>
<p>Advanced Training Flight (ATF) &#8211; cadets must have attended a previous CTW and have a grade of Cadet Staff Sergeant or above; it is desirable that these cadets have attended a previous Encampment.  At the discresion of the Activity Commander, Activity Cadet Commander and the Director of Cadet Programs a cadet with a grade lowers than Cadet Staff Sergeant maybe allowed to participate in the ATF unit.  Once appointed to the ATF unit a cadet may be recycled into the basic cadet flights for not achieving the higher standards placed upon ATF cadets.</p>
<p>Seniors &#8211; come from across the state and neighboring states to assist the Cadet Staff in running the activity.  Seniors must have a desire to work with Cadets and be willing to assist from a distance, providing no tactical or up-front comments, recommendations, or actions except to correct safety, health, or hazing incidents from occurring.</p>
<p>NOTE: Personnel wishing to serve as Cadet Staff, ATF, and Senior Staff need to submit a CAP Resume to include past activities, positions worked, education, age, home unit, and other pertinent information to chrispeterson_cfii@yahoo for slotting.  Please include your desired position(s) (in order of presidence if applying for multiple) in the subject line.</p>
<p>Basic Cadet Flights (Basic) &#8211; cadets are from all walks of life, and everyone is accepted.  Cadets who have days or weeks in the program to cadets who have been in for months or years but have been unable to achieve certain grade requirements for staff or ATF.  Outstanding performance as a Basic can lead to a promotion to the ATF unit at the activity.</p>
<p>Note: All cadets and senior staff must arrive with a CAPF 60 (Emergency Contact Data) and Cadet with a Form 31, Seniors with a Form 11.</p>
<p>When:</p>
<p>Fall CTW: 30 October 2009 &#8211; arrive 1700 (last check in at 2000)  - arrive to assign Admin Bldg &#8211; dismiss on 1 November at 1200 (on the parade grounds).</p>
<p>Note: Cadets and Seniors will not be released until all Barracks are returned to McCrady Army NG.</p>
<p>Where:</p>
<p>McCrady ANG Training Center is located between the following two intersections:</p>
<p>Old Leesburg Rd and Leesburg Rd (Hwy 262), Eastover, SC</p>
<p>and</p>
<p>Leesburg Rd (Hwy 262) and Hwy 601 Eastover, SC</p>
<p>What to Bring: (label everything with your name and unit&#8217;s last 3 digits)</p>
<p>Complete BDU Uniform (1 or  2 recommended)</p>
<p>Blouse, Pants, Cover</p>
<p>Brown or Black Undershirt/T-shirt (2 or 3 recommended)</p>
<p>Black Military boots</p>
<p>Boot Socks (2 or 3 pair recommended)</p>
<p>Athletic shoes</p>
<p>Athletic socks (1pair or 2 pair recommended)</p>
<p>Athletic attire (dress for the forecast weather &#8211; shorts vs sweat pants, t-shirt vs sweatshirt)</p>
<p>Environmental attire: Hat, ear warmers, scarfs, thermal underwear, etc&#8230;</p>
<p>Water bottle/Canteen/Camel Pack</p>
<p>Notebook</p>
<p>Pencil/Pens</p>
<p>CAP Books</p>
<p>Hygiene</p>
<p>Halloween or funny T-shirt</p>
<p>Civilian attire (proper &#8211; no profanity) (worn appropriately)</p>
<p>Personal Medication (must be accompanied with a note for use &#8211; email chrispeterson_cfii@yahoo.com prior to attending if require certain health, diet, medical, medication needs)</p>
<p>Note: do not bring your blues</p>
