The South Carolina Wing Cadet Training Weekend is an opportunity for cadets who have not experienced an encampment and would like a snapshot before committing to the week-long event in July.

Who can attend? Those who have graduated from one basic student encampment are welcome to attend as an advanced student with the Advanced Training Squadron. Those who have already served on staff or have experienced both student and advanced student encampment experiences are welcome to register and apply to serve as staff. For adults, prior encampment experience is not required; only a willing spirit of servant leadership. If you've ever been on the fence about serving at encampment, this training weekend is a way to try before you buy. |

How do I sign up?All members must register for Cadet Training Weekend in the E-Services Registration Zone. Do not attempt to register as a Basic Student, Advanced Training Squadron, or Staff before clicking “Register” at the bottom of that page. **If applying as staff, make sure you toggle the “Staff Member” button when registering!* Before clicking “Register”, click on the red colored Fort Jackson Gate Access Information and complete the form if you plan to drive on to Fort Jackson (have a parent fill out if they will be dropping off/picking up). All drivers 18 years or older must have a REAL ID. Click HERE if you don't know about the REAL ID program.
Download all listed Event Forms, get them signed, and make sure you bring them with you to the activity. |

Why do we do it?CTW allows experienced staff members to share their skills and knowledge with those who have not yet staffed a large-scale cadet activity. It reinforces and builds on the knowledge of returning staff while easing the questions and concerns of those who have been hesitant about serving. Attendees leave better prepared to plan, strategize, and work effectively with their teams in the lead-up to encampment. |
