2025 South Carolina Wing Encampment Day 6
Stronger Together

Cadets arrived on Saturday as individuals, each with their own goals. But as encampment progresses, they begin to work together toward a shared purpose. To accomplish anything at encampment, you need a strong team.
But what makes a strong team?
“Constantly getting to know each other,” said Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Aaron Miller. Understanding your teammates builds trust—and trust leads to success.
Senior Airman Wyatt Thomas put it simply: “The core values.”
It may sound basic, but it’s powerful. A team without integrity, respect and excellence isn't really a team at all.
On July 24, 2025, that teamwork was put to the test at Fort Jackson’s Fit to Win obstacle course. Flights had to communicate, support each other and push through the course together.
“Teamwork is important,” said Staff Sgt. Quentin Smith after the event. And that’s exactly the lesson the obstacle course is designed to teach—because at encampment, success is always a team effort.
