Cadet Staff Applications Are Open

The 2026 South Carolina Wing Summer Encampment is scheduled for July 17 - July 25, 2026 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Costs for the event are $200 for Cadre and $275 for students (basic & advanced).

Cadet Cadre Application Instructions

We are now accepting applications for cadet command staff positions for the 2026 South Carolina Wing Encampment. If you’re ready to take on a top leadership role, now’s your chance to step up and lead from the front.

Available Positions & Requirements

• Cadet Squadron Commander – Minimum: Cadet 1^st Lt. (Preferred: Cadet Capt. or higher before Encampment)

• Cadet Flight Commander – Minimum: Cadet 2nd Lt. (Preferred: Cadet 1^st Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Squadron First Sergeant – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet Master Sgt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Flight Sergeant – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet Master Sgt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Public Affairs CIC – Minimum: Cadet Master Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet 2d Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Public Affairs Staff – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt.

• Cadet Morale/Wellness/Recreation CIC – Minimum: Cadet Master Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet 2nd Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Morale/Wellness/Recreation Staff – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt.

• Cadet Logistics CIC – Minimum: Cadet Master Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet 2nd Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Logistics Staff – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt.

• Cadet Medical CIC – Minimum: Cadet Master Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet 2nd Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Medical Staff – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt.

• Cadet Safety CIC – Minimum: Cadet Master Sgt. (Preferred: Cadet 2nd Lt. or higher before encampment)

• Cadet Safety Staff – Minimum: Cadet Tech Sgt.

Application Deadline: April 03, 2026

Prerequisite: All applicants must have attended and graduated from at least one Wing encampment (two + preferred), preferably a South Carolina Wing Encampment.  Those not selected for cadre, with only one encampment, will be considered for the Advanced Training Squadron.

• The minimum cadet grade to apply for any cadre position in Registration Zone is Cadet Staff Sgt.  Please note actual position requirements and preferences above.

Interview Opportunities:

• Virtual: Not all cadre positions are subject to interviews.  Those desired for interviews will be contacted.  All Cadre applicants will be notified of the status upon completion of staff selection.
